Jayam Ravi married Aarthi on June 4th and Wedding Reception took place in Chennai on June 7th. Celebrities from Tamil film world attended the function.
Malayalam Movie actor Babu Namboothiri is our neighbour in our native place Mannakkanad. He belongs to a big Brahmin Tharavadu (‘Padinjare Mana’ as it is known) in Mannakkanad in Kottayam district.
Babu Nambuthiri attended our wedding and also my cousin’s wedding at Vaikom Mahadeva Temple recently. The photos here are taken at that occasion.
Idea Star Singer on Asianet is one of the top reality shows in Malayalam Television today. It has just finished the Semi Final Rounds today. There were 7 contestants in the Semi Finals.
After the four Rounds Challenge Round (CR), Romance Round (RR), Shruthi Round (SR), and Malayalam Dance Hits Round(MDH), Najim Arshad entered the Finals directly because he scored the highest total in the Semi Finals. All other six contestants are in the Danger Zone. Their entry into the Semi finals depends on the SMS viewers send and also many other criteria we people may never know.
The other contestants are Durga Viswanath, Vani Jayaram, Amrutha Suresh, Arun Gopan, Hesham Abdul Wahab and Thushar. Their marks in the semi finals are as follows:

Because of the low marks, Vani has a chance to go out during the elimination round before the finals. But we cannot say as Idea Star Singer has the history of retaining the contestants with the lowest marks because of the huge number of SMS.
Still Thushar also may go out this time. He escaped in a very narrow manner last two times. So this time he may not escape.
Najim Arshad is the most favorite candidate for the 40 lakh flat sponsored by Confident Group. Durga also has a good chance to win. She and Arun Gopan has got the opportunity to sing in the Music Director Sri. M.S.Viswanathan’s next film. Durga has got a very good modulation of sound.
Arun Gopan and Hesham has got real good voice. Amrutha Suresh is equally competent.
Vodafone Thakadhimi has started on Asianet today (13-10-2007) at 8,30 pm.. The programme is considered as the largest Dance Realty show in India.
Inauguration of the show was done by the judges of the show, Vineeth, Gopika Varma and Lakshmi Gopalaswamy.
About the Show:
Open to participants between the ages of 15 and 30, the contest will have different segments to test the dancing prowess of the competitors. Prize for the winner is a Limousin car worth 75 Lakhs or Cash prize of 45 Lakh.
Thakadhimi Judges:
Vineeth is a famous dancer and film actor who has done a good number of performances in Malayalam and Tamil films. Gopika Varma is a great dancer of fame and she is doing stage performances in India and in many other countries across the world. She is a very good Mohiniyattam performer. Lakshmi Gopalaswamy is another judge. She is a beautiful actress and dancer and has done some very good roles in Malayalam films, one of her best performance was in the film “Njangal sandhushtaranu”. In that film she has done an excellent dance performance along with Bhanupriya.
Auditions:
A good number of auditions were done in many Indian cities and in US, Australia and many other countries to select 70 participants from 10,000 candidates. So the quality of performances is expected to be high.
First Episode:
The performance in the first round was so beautiful. All the contestants performed well. Priya Bhaskar from Delhi, Arun T G from Thiruvananthapuram, Chanjith from Calicut and Veena Babu from UK are selected to participate in the next round. Swathi from Kannur has been put into the Waiting List due to her faults in the first performance, a classical one.
Each participant has been given three performances and they are selected or put on the waiting list, on the spot according to their performance.
