Samacheer Kalvi

April 21st, 2011 No comments

Samacheer Kalvi is the Equitable Standard School Education introduced last year by the Government of Tamilnadu for a common syllabus to all schools. This is done by merging/integrating all the four boards namely SSLC, Matriculation, OSLC and Anglo Indian syllabuses.
Samacheer KalviĀ  was introduced last year for Std 1 and Std VI and will be introduced to Classes II to X in the coming academic year 2010-2011. Samacheer Kalvi has made many parents and schools anxious as they believe that by integrating the existing syllabuses, their standards might come down.

CBSE and ISCE Schools will not come under Samacheer Kalvi.

So from the coming academic year onwards there won’t be any separate examination for SSLC, Matriculation, OSLC and Anglo Indian streams.
